We had a fantastic meal at La Pietra del Mago, easily some of the best food we ate during our trip to Naples and Ischia. The staff are super friendly and the view is incredible. It's well worth a trip up the mountain (or down if you are staying at the nearby Pera di Basso hotel as we were).

Delicious food from their own garden, with breath-taking sea views I loved every moment of my meal at this wonderful, family run restaurant! I was warmly welcomed by the owner and his son. So friendly and lovely people! I had bruscetta, mixed grill, tiramisu and some fruits. The fruits and tomatoes were from their own garden. So delicious! Restaurant is accessible by car -there is a parking lot, or a small bus that will leave you just next to the restaurant. But I would really recommend walking up the hill from Casamicciola because the views are breathtaking! It was very quiet area and I didn't see any other tourists walking up there. I was the only customer at the opening time, 11am -which I loved! My visit to Pietra Del Mago was the best experience of my trip! Thank you so much! I will never forget you!

Nestled in the heart of Casamicciola Terme, Pietra Del Mago offers an enchanting dining experience that combines stunning panoramic views with thoughtfully crafted Southern Italian cuisine. Located at Via Santa Barbara, 36, this restaurant stands out for its concise but robust menu, highlighting true regional flavors such as the signature Melenzane A Funghetto—a dish that beautifully balances the richness of eggplant with fresh, vibrant ingredients.

Visitors consistently praise the warm and attentive service, often noting the genuine hospitality of the family-run establishment. The approachable staff adds a personal touch that makes every meal feel intimate and welcoming. The surrounding landscape enhances the meal, transforming each bite into a sensory experience framed by breathtaking vistas of the Neapolitan countryside.

What resonates most is the harmony between quality and simplicity. The dishes at Pietra Del Mago emphasize fresh, local produce cooked with care and passion, avoiding unnecessary complexity or excess. This makes for food that is both authentic and memorable, inviting guests to savor the essence of Ischia’s culinary traditions. The moderate pricing further underscores the restaurant's commitment to accessible excellence.

From my tasting, the Melenzane A Funghetto stands out as a perfect example of rustic elegance—lightly sautéed eggplant melded with aromatic herbs and ripe tomatoes, evoking the soul of Italian home cooking elevated by expert craftsmanship. Each dish feels lovingly prepared, leaving a lasting impression that beckons return visits.

Whether you seek a peaceful retreat, a culturally rich meal, or a spectacular setting to complement your dining, Pietra Del Mago captures all these elements with finesse. It is a must-visit for travelers and locals alike who appreciate honest flavors served in a tranquil, picturesque environment.
